Locks Of Love
My good friend is on her 3rd bout with Lymphoma. I decided a while ago, I think her 2nd time, I started letting my hair grow out so I could donate. I know how it feels to loose your hair, as I lost my hair back in 2000 from chemotherapy, so to do this will make me feel good I think. The hair is processed to make hair pieces for children. Right now my hair is almost one length and the longest, in the back, is 24 inches long. I need to cut a little so it will grow some more as the front and sides are about 10 inches, the minimun. There are so many cute haircuts for me to get once I cut the hair off, I just don't want it super short.
I think if you click on the banner, it will take you to the website for Lock Of Love. If not, here's the link:

One of my favorites! A gorgeous Rose Quartz pendant surrounded by Amethyst, Green Quartz, Keishi Pearls, Lavender Chalcedony, Karen Silver & Bali Silver.
I wire-wrapped 2 "balls" with green quartz rondelles, keishi pearls, amethyst brios, lavender chalcedony brios, and green quartz brios on sterling silver wire. Then I wove the wire through them so they nest right up to the pendant. Big chunks of rose quartz follow with karen silver flower buttons, and up the necklace with rose quartz rondelles, rounds and bali silver fancy beads.
Come check it out at my ArtFire store ~ and if you're interested, mention you saw it on my blog nd I'll give you 10% off@

Watermelon Tourmaline!
I just finished this Anklet / Bracelet last week. I used beautiful Watermelon Tourmaline briolettes along with Watermelon Tourmaline rondelles. There's lots of sterling silver Bali Daisy beads, with gorgeous Black Spinel rondelles. A fancy Bali heart toggle finishes this. It measures approximately 10 inches for ankle bracelet length, but I'm more then happy to re-size of you'd like it as a bracelet. Check it out at my ArtFire.com store!

One of my Fave's!
These items are from my friend Swati. I have the necklace and it is stunning! She makes the most AMAZING jewelry, and is such a sweetheart.
For whatever reason, the previous blog I had in here got messed up so I had to re-do it. UGH!

My 1st Wire Wrap!
This is the very first wire wrapped piece of jewelry I attempted since my last surgery in December 2008. Even with residual paralysis in my arms & hands, this piece is unbelievable! The colors remind me of springtime!
The lampwork focal was made by one of my favorite artisans. Her work is very sought after & very costly. But every once in a while I feel the need to splurge, and this was SO worth it! The length of the entire focal is about 4.5 inches. Wow!
I used Fluorite rondelles on gold filled wire & gold vermeil headpins. There's also lavender and dark purple smooth Chalcedony heart brios along with micro faceted light green Chalcedony heart brios. There are 2 gold vermeil Bali beadcaps on the "egg" lampwork bead.
For the necklace, I wrapped light green faceted Chalcedony nuggets. Then I wrapped faceted Amethyst nuggets with light green micro faceted Fluorite rondelles, and then micro faceted Amethyst rondelles with more green Fluorite rondelles. All beads are wire wrapped with gold fill wire. Not plated, not vermeil.
I finished this stunner with a 14kt gold toggle clasp. It measures approx. 24.5 inches, including the focal.
You can purchase this at my ArtFire store!

Totally Turquoise!
I held onto the turquoise until my mind was set on a design, and I'm glad I did. As soon as I was finished with the set, it sold within 5 hours!!! Needless to say I was thrilled, and the new owner of this set fell in love with it as soon as her husband gave it to her.
There are 3 strands of beautiful faceted Turquoise rondelles, faceted Hessonite Garnet rondelles, and faceted Gold Brownstone beads in this stunning choker necklace. LOT'S of Sterling Silver Bali beads throughout every strand. I finished this choker with a Karen Silver Flower clasp and hung Karen Silver Leaf & Flower Charms from it.
What an amazing piece ~ the set actually! Definitely a one-of-a-kind as I never make reproductions unless asked to.
